Service Usage Rules

General Provisions

VIP.hosting services are provided for lawful purposes and must be used in accordance with these rules, the user agreement, the conditions of the selected plan and other applicable service documents.

• Customers are responsible for all activity performed through their accounts, servers and other purchased services.
• Registration and contact information must be accurate and kept up to date.
• Providing account or server access to third parties does not remove responsibility from the account owner.
• Customer-installed software, configurations and running processes must not interfere with the stable operation of the VIP.hosting platform or network.
• Customers are responsible for ensuring that their use of the services complies with applicable laws.

Content, Software and Materials

Customers are responsible for all information, files, software, websites, applications and other materials stored, hosted or processed on rented infrastructure.

Network Activity

VIP.hosting network resources must not be used for activities that create a threat to our infrastructure, third-party systems, networks or internet users.

• DDoS attacks, DoS attacks and participation in organized network attacks are prohibited.
• Unauthorized port scanning, IP range scanning and vulnerability scanning of third-party systems are prohibited.
• Attempts to gain unauthorized access to third-party accounts, servers, networks, devices or data are prohibited.
• Creating, operating or maintaining botnets and networks of compromised devices is prohibited.
• Unsolicited bulk messaging, spam and similar communications are not permitted.
• Proxy servers, VPN services, relays and similar network services must be configured to prevent uncontrolled public abuse.

Resource Usage

CPU resources, memory, disk space, network capacity and other service resources must be used within the technical limits of the selected plan.

• Resource consumption must remain within the limits and specifications of the purchased service.
• Customers must not intentionally create workloads that negatively affect the infrastructure or other customers.
• Continuous excessive resource usage may require migration to a higher-performance plan or a different server configuration.
• Customers are responsible for monitoring running processes, network traffic, disk usage and other server resources.
• Customers must not bypass service limitations, interfere with the virtualization platform or attempt to access resources that are not included with their service.

Account and Server Security

Customers are responsible for securing their accounts, operating systems, installed software and access credentials.

• Use strong and unique passwords for accounts and servers.
• Do not share access credentials with unauthorized persons.
• Install operating system and software security updates in a timely manner.
• Restrict access to administrative interfaces, control panels and critical network ports.
• Inspect the server if suspicious processes, network activity or other signs of compromise are detected.
• If an account or server may have been compromised, contact VIP.hosting support immediately.

Payments and Service Renewal

VIP.hosting services are provided for the duration of the paid billing period. Customers are responsible for monitoring their account balance, service expiration dates and timely renewals.

• Payment must be completed before the current paid period expires.
• Payment processing time may depend on the selected payment method and payment provider.
• An unpaid service may be automatically suspended after the paid period expires.
• If a service is not renewed, it may be permanently deleted 7 days after the end of the paid period.
• Unpaid dedicated servers may be deleted 5 days after the end of the paid period.
• Refunds are processed according to the current VIP.hosting refund policy.
• Bank, payment provider and intermediary fees may not be included in the service price.

Data and Backups

VIP.hosting does not create or store backups of customer data unless backup storage is explicitly included as a separate service. Customers are responsible for the safety and availability of their own data.

We strongly recommend maintaining regular backups on an independent external storage system.

• Create regular backups of important files, configurations and databases.
• Keep backup copies separately from the primary server.
• Periodically verify that backups can actually be restored.
• Save all required data before reinstalling an operating system, deleting a server or terminating a service.
• After a service has been permanently deleted, its data may be permanently lost and impossible to recover.

Service Restrictions and Suspension

VIP.hosting may temporarily restrict access to or suspend a service if its use violates these rules, creates a security risk, significantly affects the infrastructure or may cause harm to third parties.

Where circumstances allow and doing so does not create additional security risks, customers will be informed of the reason for the restriction and the actions required to restore the service.

Requests, Complaints and Reviews

Questions regarding these rules and reports of potential violations are handled by the VIP.hosting support team.

• When contacting support, specify the affected service and provide a detailed description of the situation.
• Additional information, technical details or logs may be requested as part of an investigation.
• Customers are expected to respond to support requests within a reasonable period of time.
• Incorrect restrictions may be reviewed after sufficient information confirming the absence of a violation has been provided.
• Repeated, systematic or intentional violations may result in termination of service.
